FrameMaker has long been the authoring tool of choice for most technical authors and technical writers. FrameMaker 8 combines word processing and XML-based structured authoring with template-based publishing to offer unchallenged options for single-source authoring.

Our FrameMaker training courses provide a thorough grounding in FrameMaker used in unstructured mode (standard FrameMaker). From first principles, you learn how to use FrameMaker's most popular features and a range of techniques for generating printed documents of a high standard.

Our FrameMaker courses are Adobe-accredited. The trainer is an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI), and an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in FrameMaker.

Basic and Intermediate Adobe FrameMaker training

Duration

Two days.

Course objectives

To gain a thorough grounding in Adobe FrameMaker for producing hard copy documentation in print format.

Class size

Class numbers are small, maximum eight delegates, meaning that you have ample opportunity to discuss your specific requirements with the trainer.

Who should attend?

Basic and Intermediate Adobe FrameMaker training is suitable for:

		Newcomers to FrameMaker, and users with a small amount of FrameMaker experience.
		Those who have used other similar word processing and page layout tools in the past.

Delegates should be familiar with Windows^® and basic word processing techniques. No other knowledge is necessary.

Advanced Adobe FrameMaker training

Duration

One day.

Course objectives

Delegates who want to learn how to use FrameMaker's advanced and difficult-to-grasp functionality when working in unstructured mode (standard FrameMaker), including the features to produce books comprised of multiple documents, with a table of contents, index and cross-references.

Who should attend?

Delegates who have attended our Basic and Intermediate Adobe FrameMaker training course, and experienced FrameMaker users who are looking to expand their knowledge of FrameMaker to an Advanced level.

General course information

Adobe-accredited Framemaker training course

Armada is an Adobe Authorised Training Centre (AATC), accredited to run FrameMaker training courses. Delegates also receive a certificate confirming they have attended and successfully completed FrameMaker training.

The trainer

The trainer for this course is an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI), and an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in FrameMaker who knows how FrameMaker is used for technical authoring purposes. See Our training team for further details about our trainers.

Courseware

Delegates receive comprehensive Adobe courseware to refer to throughout the course, and to use as a refresher following the course.

After course support

Delegates are entitled to 30 days email support from Armada to help with any post-training issues.

When and where?

Scheduled FrameMaker training courses (for individuals) are hosted in Bromsgrove in the Midlands, close to Birmingham and the M5/M6/M40/M42 motorway network; they are attended by delegates from all parts of the UK and beyond. Click here for forthcoming FrameMaker training course dates.

On-demand FrameMaker training courses (for your group) can be run on a date and at a location that suits you, which may be our training centre in Bromsgrove or your venue.

How much does FrameMaker training cost?

	Basic and Intermediate FrameMaker training course (two days).	£495 + VAT per delegate.	£995 + VAT for the first delegate, plus £100 + VAT per subsequent delegate.
	Advanced FrameMaker training course (one day).	£350 + VAT per delegate.	£550 + VAT for the first delegate, plus £100 + VAT per subsequent delegate.

These prices are inclusive of all relevant course documentation, refreshments and a buffet lunch.

The on-demand fees quoted are for courses hosted at our training centre in Bromsgrove. Please contact us for a price for running this course at your venue, or any other options you may be interested in.

Which versions of Adobe FrameMaker are covered?

Scheduled courses are based on FrameMaker 8. (Most of the techniques taught are relevant to previous versions of FrameMaker, including versions 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2.)

On-demand FrameMaker courses can be based on any recent version of FrameMaker.
