Duration

One day.

Course objectives

To introduce the capabilities and potential of AutoCAD Map 3D, and to teach key theory and techniques. You gain hands on experience showing how you can use the extra functionality provided by AutoCAD Map 3D to easily integrate digital mapping in your AutoCAD drawings.

The course teaches how to:

		Access geographic and map-based data in AutoCAD.
		Obtain digital mapping quickly and easily.
		Access and integrate different types of data within a single drawing, e.g. aerial photography and SSSI maps.
		Access and use OS MasterMap data that now replaces OS LandLine.
		Present often sensitive data to colleagues or the public in an easily accessible yet protected format.

Potential and new AutoCAD Map 3D users. This course is also useful for existing users wanting to make better use of the features available.

Prerequisites

Previous experience using an Autodesk CAD application, such as AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit, is necessary. If you don't have this, we recommend that you attend our AutoCAD Essentials course before attending AutoCAD Map 3D training.

AutoCAD Map 3D Essentials training

Duration

Two days.

Course objectives

To teach the fundamental features of AutoCAD Map 3D, including techniques for creating, managing and analysing mapping data. The course also explores some of AutoCAD Map 3D's more advanced features.

The course teaches how to:

		Work with the AutoCAD Map 3D user interface.
		Create and edit geometry.
		Link and manage drawing-based attribute data.
		Use object classification.
		Import and export drawing-based data.
		Work with raster images.
		Work with source drawings.
		Use source drawing queries.
		Stylise drawings.
		Use topology and spatial analysis.
		Plot maps.

Who should attend?

New users of AutoCAD Map 3D.

Prerequisites

Previous experience using an Autodesk CAD application, such as AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit, is necessary. If you don't have this, we recommend that you attend our AutoCAD Essentials course before attending AutoCAD Map 3D training.

AutoCAD Map 3D for Geospatial training

Duration

Two days.

Course objectives

To teach the geospatial features and functions of AutoCAD Map 3D. Delegates learn how to create, manage and analyse geospatial data. Advanced geospatial features are also covered.

The course teaches how to:

		Establish a geospatial environment.
		Edit geospatial features.
		Manage geospatial features using buffers and Bulk Copy.
		Use workflows to automate geospatial processes.
		Use job processes to solve geospatial problems.

Who should attend?

Users of AutoCAD Map 3D who want to use geospatial data.

Prerequisites

Delegates must have a working knowledge of:

		An Autodesk CAD application, such as AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit, is necessary. If you don't have this, we recommend that you attend our AutoCAD Essentials course before attending AutoCAD Map 3D training.
		AutoCAD Map 3D. If you don't have this, we recommend that you attend our AutoCAD Map 3D Essentials course before attending this training.

General course information

Completion certificate

Delegates receive a completion certificate from Armada to confirm they have attended and successfully completed AutoCAD Map 3D training.

Method of delivery

AutoCAD Map 3D training combines lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice. Delegates have ample opportunity to discuss their specific requirements with the trainer.

After course support

Following AutoCAD Map 3D training, delegates are entitled to 30 days email support from Armada to help with any post-training issues.

Courseware

Delegates receive Autodesk Official Training Courseware, the most comprehensive courseware available for Map 3D.

When and where?

Scheduled AutoCAD Map 3D training courses (for individuals) are hosted in either Bromsgrove or Redditch, both in the Midlands close to Birmingham and the M5/M6/M40/M42 motorway network. Click here for forthcoming course dates.

On-demand AutoCAD Map 3D training courses (for your group) can be run on a date and at a location that suits you, which may be our training centre in Bromsgrove or Redditch, or your venue.

How much does AutoCAD Map 3D training cost?

These fees are for an AutoCAD Map 3D training course held at our training centre in Bromsgrove or Redditch. They are inclusive of all relevant course documentation, refreshments and a buffet lunch.
