Adobe RoboHelp is the de facto standard tool for online help development, and with Adobe committed to its ongoing development it will remain so for the foreseeable future.

Our RoboHelp training courses teach you how to create professional standard online help in popular formats such as HTML Help, Webhelp and XML Help, as well as 'single source projects' from which you can generate both online help and hard copy guides from one source. You learn many shortcuts for using RoboHelp efficiently.

Armada's RoboHelp courses are Adobe-accredited. The trainer for these courses is an Adobe Certified Expert in RoboHelp and an Adobe Certified Instructor with vast experience of using RoboHelp as a technical author / trainer within Armada's in-house team. Basic and Intermediate Adobe RoboHelp training

Duration

Two days.

Course objectives

To gain a thorough grounding in Adobe RoboHelp. On completing RoboHelp training you will be able to develop online help in a variety of formats, and also produce high quality hard copy documentation in Word format from your project.

Who should attend?

Basic and Intermediate Adobe RoboHelp training is suitable for:

		Newcomers to RoboHelp, and novice users with a small amount of RoboHelp experience.
		Those who have used other similar word processing and page layout tools in the past.

Delegates should be familiar with Windows^® and basic word processing techniques. No other knowledge is necessary.

Advanced Adobe RoboHelp training

Duration

One day.

Course objectives

To teach the use of RoboHelp's advanced and difficult-to-grasp features, including:

		The processes for making online help context-sensitive.
		The use of styles and stylesheets.
		The development of skins.
		Using the RoboScreenCapture.
		Using RoboSource facility, a necessity in multi-author environments.

Who should attend?

Advanced RoboHelp training is suitable for delegates who have attended our Basic and Intermediate Adobe RoboHelp training course, and experienced RoboHelp users who are looking to learn about its advanced features.

Advanced RoboHelp training courses are scheduled to follow each Basic and Intermediate Adobe RoboHelp training course, so delegates have the option of attending Basic, Intermediate and Advanced RoboHelp training in three consecutive days.

Getting started with RoboSource training

Duration

One day.

Course objectives

Teaches how to use RoboSource to manage and work on RoboHelp projects in a multi-author environment, from installation and configuration of a RoboSource database to day-to-day file management.

Who should attend?

Those who use Adobe RoboHelp and work in a technical authoring environment where multiple authors work on the same project.

General course information

Adobe-accredited RoboHelp training course

Armada is an Adobe Authorised Training Centre (AATC), accredited for RoboHelp training. Delegates also receive a certificate confirming they have attended and successfully completed RoboHelp training.

Method of delivery

RoboHelp training combines lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice. Class numbers are small (maximum 8 delegates), providing ample opportunity to discuss your specific requirements with the trainer.

The trainer

RoboHelp training is hosted by an Adobe Certified Instructor and Adobe Certified Expert in RoboHelp, with significant experience working as a technical author using RoboHelp for online help development and single source projects.

Courseware

Delegates receive comprehensive courseware to refer to throughout the course, and to use as a refresher following the course.

After course support

Following RoboHelp training, delegates are entitled to 30 days email support from Armada to help with any post-training issues.

When and where?

Scheduled RoboHelp training courses (for individuals) are hosted in Bromsgrove in the Midlands, close to Birmingham and the M5/M6/M40/M42 motorway network. Click here for forthcoming course dates.

On-demand RoboHelp training courses (for your group) can be run on a date and at a location that suits you, which may be our training centre in Bromsgrove or your venue.

How much does RoboHelp training cost?

	Above two training courses combined (three days).	£ + VAT per delegate.	£1,795 + VAT for the first delegate, plus £50 + VAT per subsequent delegate.
	Getting started with RoboSource training course (one day).	Not available.	£750 + VAT for the first delegate, plus £50 + VAT per subsequent delegate.

These prices are inclusive of all relevant course documentation, refreshments and a buffet lunch.

The on-demand fee quoted is for a RoboHelp training course held at our training centre in Bromsgrove. Please contact us for a price for running a RoboHelp training course at your venue, or any other RoboHelp training options you may be interested in.

Which versions of Adobe RoboHelp are covered?

Scheduled Basic and Intermediate Adobe RoboHelp training courses are based on RoboHelp 8 (as contained in Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2). Most of the techniques taught in this course are also relevant to RoboHelp 7.

On-demand RoboHelp training courses can be based on RoboHelp X5, RoboHelp 6, RoboHelp 7 or RoboHelp 8.

Advanced Adobe RoboHelp training courses are available for RoboHelp 8 only.

RoboSource training courses are based on RoboHelp 8 and RoboSource Control 3.1.

Mix and match courses

We offer a one day Online help development course, which covers appropriate writing styles and techniques for authoring online help. You can combine this course with an Introduction to RoboHelp training course for a comprehensive grounding in both online help writing theory and the practicalities of generating help using RoboHelp.
