Writing press releases

Writing press releases is a short, intensive course that teaches how to build lasting relationships with the media and produce high quality press releases.

The course begins by providing an insight into the media industry and exploring the subject and the audience you are writing for. It then goes on to teach you how to produce well written and effective press releases using all of the tools and techniques available to an established journalist.

Training is provided by means of classroom teaching and practical exercises carried out under guidance. Sessions cover the characteristics of effective writing and how to communicate their message; the importance of having a good structure and headline; how to write good English and edit/proofread copy.
