AutoCAD 2009 Certified Associate exam
Contents
Covers the fundamental concepts and procedures in AutoCAD, as well as specific skills that are appropriate for ensuring a base level of proficiency in AutoCAD. Entry level exam.
Format
This exam is made up of 30 questions. No use of AutoCAD is involved. For more information about the types of questions you will be asked, see our AutoCAD Associate Certification exam guide.

AutoCAD 2009 Certified Professional exam
Contents
Covers a broad range of skills, and requires you to perform tasks and procedures using AutoCAD.
Format
This exam is made up of 20 performance-based items. For each item, you will be required to open a drawing, complete a task or series of tasks, and then answer a question about the task(s). AutoCAD 2009 Certified Expert exam
Contents
This certification level covers the skills required to perform in a specific job role or specialisation.
Format
This certification exam consists of 20 performance-based questions. This is Autodesk's highest level exam.

Certification logo and electronic certificate:
After passing the Certification exam, you have the right to use the official logo identifying you as Autodesk Certified. Use this logo when marketing your Autodesk skills, for example on business cards, CVs, websites and correspondence.
Your electronic certificate is suitable for printing and framing. You may reprint this certificate as often as you like. |

Listing in the Certified Professionals Database:
You have the option of displaying your contact details and certification levels on Autodesk's publicly available database. This is an excellent way to demonstrate your certification status to prospective employers. |

How long is my certification valid for?
Certification validates your knowledge and skills using a specific version of an Autodesk application. Certification for a particular version of an application never expires.
When a new version of the application is released, you can bring your certification up-to-date by passing the recertification examination.

Attend training:
The training course recommended by Autodesk for the Associate and Professional certification exams is Learning AutoCAD, which covers all the areas included in both exams.
If you are taking the AutoCAD 2009 Professional Certification exam, the questions will use the drawings that are made available to you during the course.

Take a pre-exam test:
For the Associate Certification exam, take an Autodesk Assessment test. The Assessment test gives you a clear overview of your strengths and weaknesses through detailed diagnostic feedback available immediately after you complete the test.

Should you wish to retake an exam, simply re-book. Retakes are priced at the full fee.
Cancellations
If a company or delegate cancels an Autodesk Certification exam booking giving less than 6 working days notice, a cancellation fee is payable. See cancellation terms for details.
