For further information, see: AutoCAD Essentials trainingCourse objectivesTo provide a thorough grounding in AutoCAD. On completing the course you will be able to produce accurate drawings, and will have learned shortcuts and techniques to help you use AutoCAD efficiently. The course provides ample opportunity to discuss your specific requirements and any problems you are having with the trainer. Who should attend? This course is aimed at newcomers to CAD drawing, users with a small amount of AutoCAD experience, and users who have previously used a different CAD tool and are looking to migrate to AutoCAD. Which versions of AutoCAD are covered?Courses run in 2009 will be based on AutoCAD 2009 / AutoCAD LT 2009. (Please note that most of the techniques taught are relevant to all recent releases of AutoCAD. If you are using a different recent version of AutoCAD, the trainer will be happy to spend some time looking at this version with you.) Course outlineThe first day is spent learning basic commands and techniques. Sessions cover creating 2D drawings and drawing templates files, working with the display commands, and drawing and editing objects. Following these sessions, time is spent practicing the skills learnt. The final stages focus on printing (paper space and model space), and expanding knowledge to the limits of the course outline.
